The Clairefontaine “My Essential” Series is intended to serve as your everyday journal or work notebook, and is particularly well-suited to bullet journaling! Featuring a table of contents, paginated layout, and eight perforated sheets at the back, this versatile softcover A5 journal comes in five different colors and contains 96 sheets / 192 pages (184 Numbered) of 90g Ivory Clairefontaine paper.

Note that the “My Essential” paper behaves slightly differently than the classic “Bright White” or Triomphe papers. It’s not as heavily coated, meaning that it’s more absorbent so ink dries relatively quickly. While the paper is still fountain pen friendly, the increased absorbency means that very wet pens and inks may result in some show-through on the other side of the page, as you might see with Rhodia or Leuchtturm.
