Lochby designed the Field Journal to serve as the perfect combination of planner, journal, and sketchbook. The Field Journal consists of a refillable waxed canvas case and a Dot Grid Refill featuring fountain pen friendly Tomoe River 68 gsm white paper. An aircraft-grade aluminum hook locks everything in, and a stout elastic pen loop holds the thinnest pencils to thickest fountain pens. Double stitching and bartacking throughout.

One Dot Grid Lochby Pocket Notebook is included with the Field Journal Mini, and additional refills are available for purchase in Dot Grid, Ruled, and Plain. The notebook cover comfortably fits 4 notebooks using the same cord-based system as the standard Field Journal, and is compatible with other similar-sized pocket notebooks.
