Kakimori’s metal dip nibs were born from a desire for a durable and practical dip pen nib that would allow the user to enjoy a variety of line widths from fine to broad by tilting the nib at different angles. These metal nib fit most nib holders as well as those nib holders from the Kakimori range.

Available in brass and stainless steel, and there are also a limited number of “perfectly imperfect” nibs with slight tarnish from the finishing process. The performance of these nibs is not impacted, as the difference is aesthetic only.

Kakimori dip nibs have become a favorite among fountain pen users because (1) the nibs hold a lot of ink in the grooves, requiring less frequent re-inking; and (2) they are very easy to clean, though if you use these pens with shimmer inks or very heavy sheeners you may want to clean the nib well with a toothbrush to ensure all residue is removed.
