Lamy Studio Piano Red Fountain Pen (2024 Release, 14k Nib)
Lamy Studio Piano Red Fountain Pen (2024 Release, 14k Nib)
The Lamy Studio is one of the more underrated fountain pens on the market, especially when you consider you can still get a 14k nib version for well under the $200 price point. The signature design touch on the Studio is the “propeller clip” that forms part of the overall Bauhaus-inspired aesthetic, designed by Hannes Wettstein.
Now available in a glossy "Piano Red" finish in addition to the Piano Black and Palladium options, this pen has an exceptional feel, and the round metal section offers a comfortable writing grip and balance in the hand. The friction-fit cap is lightweight and posts well. While this pen ships with a 14k nib installed, the Studio will accept any of the same Lamy nibs as the Safari and AL-Star series.
The Lamy Studio fountain pen includes a Lamy ink converter and one Lamy cartridge so you can either fill from an ink bottle or pop in the cartridge and get writing immediately. Fine and medium nib sizes currently available.
