Continuing our obsession with fine-writing, needle-tip ballpoint pens that feel like a pencil, I’ve added these “woodcase” retractable ballpoints from Japanese stationery company Mark’s Inc. Featuring a needle-tip .5mm ballpoint refill that feels quite similar to the Traveler’s Company ballpoint refill, this pen will make an excellent writer for planners and note-takers, especially those who write small.
The barrel of each pen is playfully inscribed with suggestions for how to spend each day, including “Lundi: void un film” (Monday: see a movie); “Mardi: écouter un disque” (Tuesday: listen to an album); “Mercredi: lire un roman (Wednesday: read a novel); “Jeudi: écrire un poème” (Thursday: write a poem); “Vendredi: acheter un billet” (Friday: buy a ticket); “Samedi/Dimanche: faire un petit voyage” (Saturday/Sunday: take a little trip).
