Though this limited run of dip nib holders turned out to be much smaller than originally anticipated, we went ahead and commissioned five of them from this unique Jonathan Brooks acrylic featuring swirls of white, cream, and dark purple-red, reminiscent of one of my favorite fountain pen inks of all time. Four of these nib holders are available for purchase, and they are compatible with standard dip nibs as well as Kakimori brass and stainless steel nibs.

Penmaker Nicholas Pasquale turned these by hand, and his dip nib holders are somewhat unique in that they feature an angled end as opposed to the long tapered “tail” you commonly see. It’s a fun design, and I will certainly order more if I can get the material and if Nic’s capacity frees up.
