Pilot’s pioneering retractable fountain pen is a modern classic, and after all these years remains by far the most reliable option in the retractable fountain pen product category. The “Vanishing Point” features an excellent 18k gold nib that fully retracts into the pen body, protected by a trapdoor mechanism that also prevents the nib from drying out. The placement of the clip allows you to carry the pen in a shirt pocket in the nib-up position, preventing leaks and spills.

This particular selection of pens features black trim and black-plated 18k gold nibs. The black and blue pens have a matte finish, the gunmetal pen has a metallic finish, and the white pen is lacquered.

Each pen ships in a Pilot gift box (pictured), and includes an ink converter, a single cartridge, and a metal cartridge cover. Available nib sizes include extra fine, fine, medium, broad, and stub. Additional nibs are available for purchase separately, as is the range of bottled Pilot inks.
