Shawn Newton is a long time friend, and we’ve been looking for an opportunity to collaborate together on a pen. When I saw this polished black and red Majestic fountain pen - my favorite of his streamlined silhouettes - I could only picture it with one of the crimson-plated nibs from last year’s Hinze collaboration. But this time, maybe with a T.G.S. engraving?

I’m very pleased with the end result. The two different red tones come together to form a Kanreki-like effect, if you recall the multi-toned red Sailor Pro Gear special release from a few years ago.

This Majestic fountain pen measures 5.25” uncapped and 5.5” capped. While the pen can be posted, this one will probably feel the most comfortable unposted because posted it will be rather long. Pen ships with a JoWo No. 6 nib, feed, and housing. If the nib size you are looking for is showing as unavailable, please send me a message to see if I have extras that can be swapped in. I have more nibs than pens at the moment!

Pens are made in Hot Springs, Arkansas by Shawn Newton of Newton Pens, and the nibs are plated by the Hinze Pen Company. Each pen includes a note from Shawn, background lnformation on Newton Pens and the Majestic, and a fabric pen sleeve in black and red by Elizabeth Newton Designs!
