TWSBI Vac700R Kyanite Blue Fountain Pen

from $80.00

TWSBI’s vacuum-filler has been reworked to ensure more consistent ink flow when the valve is opened, and it’s now available in a “Kyanite Blue” finish, featuring a two-toned nib plated to match the trim. To fill a vacuum-filler fountain pen, simply retract the plunger, submerge the nib section into your ink bottle, and depress the plunger to watch the pen fill. This style of pen can be perfect for those who travel, since the pen includes a “shut-off valve” to prevent spills and leakage. (Note that with the “Iris” pens, no two finishes will be exactly alike.)

Available in multiple nib sizes, including extra fine, fine, medium, broad, and 1.1mm stub. Fountain pen ink is sold separately, and this pen uses bottled ink only (no cartridges).

A Quick Guide to TWSBI Nib Sizes, per the Manufacturer:

  • If you write small, go with an EF

  • For the normal writer, F is the most popular

  • If you tend to lean on a bigger font, M will be perfect

  • B is for statements!! Sign a check in B, write a header in B, do some coloring/shading in B

  • Stub nibs are italic in writing style (have a special card or invitation to write?)
