Pininfarina Segno PF One Fountain Pen (via Dapprman). Now that Pininfarina has been getting a lot of positive attention from the PF Two fountain pen, it’s time to go back and look at the PF One. As this review points out, it’s a very different look.
Hahnemuhle FineNotes Slim and Bold Fountain Pens (via UK Fountain Pens). Anthony reviews a couple of fountain pens from German stationer Hahnemuhle’s new fine writing sub-brand, “FineNotes”, which seem to be very high quality.
Midori MD Fountain Pen: Cute with Some Retro Vibes (via UK Fountain Pens). I’ve been impressed with the Midori MD Fountain Pen, and as Anthony points out, the nib is the star of the show here.
Notebook Rescue (via Notebook Stories). I’m totally guilty of this. If I see a notebook at a store that even looks like it’s of remotely good quality, and it’s the last one or looking neglected, I’ll buy it.
Dream Inks (via Mountain of Ink). Whoa. Talk about double shading/shimmer.
Exacompta Record Cards - “You Say ‘Record’, I say ‘Index’” (via Pen Addict). Good fountain-pen-friendly index cards are indeed hard to find, and Exacompta makes some of the best.
12 Days of Inks: Day 5 Diamine Early Grey (via Well-Appointed Desk). I love a good grey ink, and this one has strong purple undertones, which increase legibility.
Edelstein Ink of the Year 2022: Apatite (via Pelikan’s Perch). Pelikan’s 2022 Ink of the Year is another turquoise-aquamarine-ish color. It will be interesting to see how this one compares to their previous releases in this same range.
In Case You Missed It: 2021 Year-End Recaps
This past week, I’ve been working my way through the 2021 year-end reviews and recaps, including Part I: Favorite Reviews; Part II: Top Ten Best Sellers from the T.G.S. Curated Shop; and Part III: Favorite Acquistions. I’ll likely have one more post to recap my overall favorite posts of the year, compiling the “editorial” content, before I take some time off to recover.
This Week in the Curated Shop
We continue to add more Hightide desk accessories to the shop, and build out this product category. New this week are old-school clipboards and marbled melamine desk trays, in addition to a further restock of Hightide Sandglasses. Finally, We’ve created a “Best Seller” Category in the store, to make it easy to see what are the customer favorites.
