‘Tis the Season: Diamine Blue Edition Inks (via Fountain Pen Pharmacist). It looks like there are some great inks in here that, for whatever reason, have fallen off my radar due to the overwhelming volume of ink being released these days. I believe all of these inks were first part of the Diamine “Inkvent” Calendar.
Diamine Inkvent 2021, Part 1 (via Mountain of Ink). Kelli has the first few Diamine Inkvent swabs available, and “Garland” and “Tempest” might be my favorites based on these swabs.
Diamine Inkvent Day 10 (via Writing at Large). Apparently this year Diamine branched out a bit and decided to move away from traditional “Holiday” colors. An orange? I kind of like it. Follow along at Writing at Large, which is looking at the Inkvent Calendar inks as they’re opened.
Inkvent 2021 Spoilers (via Independence). Audrey walks through the whole 2021 Diamine Inkvent Calendar! And yes, this does feature spoilers, so if you want to be surprised with your Inkvent Calendar, don’t click this link.
FPUK 2021 Awards and Year in Review (via UK Fountain Pens). So the year-end reviews have started! Anthony does a great job of recapping the year and spotlighting several trends worth keeping an eye on into 2022.
UK Fountain Pens is Five Years Old! (via UK Fountain Pens). Relatedly, congratulations on the 5-year “Bloggiversary!” If you aren’t following Anthony, you’re missing out on some of the best fountain pen-related content available.
Atlas Stationers: So Many Aisles, So Little Time (via Pen Addict). Kimberly recaps her visit to Atlas Stationers after the 2021 Chicago Pen Show, and it showcases how many different product categories Atlas has available. It truly is a big store where you can spend hours.
Diplomat Elox Review (via Figboot on Pens). The Diplomat Elox caught my eye at this year’s D.C. Pen Show. I love the contrasting orange and black rings, and wonder whether they will expand this design further to feature other colors.
Using an Ultrasonic Cleaner with Your Fountain Pens (via Fountain Pen Love). If you keep multiple pens inked up at once and need to clean in large batches, or experiment with different inks that can be difficult to flush out of pens, an ultrasonic cleaner can make your life a LOT easier.
TWSBI Forest Green (via Well-Appointed Desk). TWSBI has launched a new series of inks that I should have available in the Curated Shop soon (just after I get caught up with the current holiday rush). As always, they’ve done a great job with these new colors.
In Case You Missed It….
This week on the blog I reviewed a pen from a brand I’ve never tried before, the PF Two from Pininfarina Segno, a branch of the Italian automotive design firm Pininfarina. I also posted about “B” and “2B” pencils, which have become my preferred grade of graphite these days and form the bulk of my pencil hoard. This week’s Deals & Drops post highlighted some “last call” and “low stock” items in the shop.
This Week in the Curated Shop: Life Writing Pads and More Hightide Sandglasses!
